У межах Всеукраїнського Національного «Тижня безбар’єрності» кафедра оториноларингології з офтальмологією організувала інформаційно-просвітницький захід для студентів. Метою події стало підвищення обізнаності щодо важливості створення безбар’єрного середовища, де кожна людина незалежно від віку, статі, стану здоров’я чи інших особливостей має рівний доступ до навчання, роботи та життя в суспільстві. Обговорювалися особисті історії та реальні кейси, що допомогли сформувати емоційне розуміння теми. Особлива увага була приділена ролі кожного у впровадженні безбар’єрності, як через побутові вчинки, так і через зміну мови чи простору навколо нас.
Захід проілюстрував, що безбар’єрність — це не лише соціальна необхідність, а й нова українська цінність: сучасна, людяна та досяжна.

The Importance of a Barrier-Free Environment: Students Engage in Dialogue
As part of the nationwide “Accessibility Week” initiative, the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Ophthalmology organized an educational and awareness-raising event for students. The main goal was to increase understanding of the importance of creating a barrier-free environment — one in which every individual, regardless of age, gender, health condition, or other characteristics, has equal access to education, employment, and participation in society.
The session featured personal stories and real-life case studies, which helped foster a deeper emotional connection to the topic. Special emphasis was placed on the role each person plays in promoting accessibility — whether through everyday actions, inclusive language, or the way we design and shape our surroundings.
The event illustrated that accessibility is not just a social necessity, but a new Ukrainian value — one that is modern, humane, and achievable.
