На кафедрі українознавства та гуманітарної підготовки у співпраці з бібліотекою ПДМУ відбулася лекція-презентація українських дитячих книжок за участі працівниці бібліотеки Тетяни Резутіної. На виставці було презентовано старовинні й сучасні дитячі книжки з власних сімейних книгозбірень викладачів кафедри. Завідувачка кафедри українознавства та гуманітарної підготовки Тетяна Лещенко подарувала бібліотечному фонду університету знамениту книгу Всеволода Нестайка «Тореадори з Васюківки». Звертаючись до майбутніх лікарів, порадила привчати майбутніх дітей до читання, бо українська дитяча книга всіх часів спрямована на формування й розвиток гармонійної особистості, виховання доброти, людяності, щирості, взаємодопомоги, любові до рідної землі й національної самосвідомості.

The Magical World of Childhood: April 2 — International Children’s Book Day Celebrated at PSMU
On the occasion of International Children’s Book Day, the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities, in cooperation with the PSMU Library, hosted a special lecture-presentation dedicated to Ukrainian children's literature. The event featured librarian Tetiana Rezutina and highlighted both classic and contemporary children’s books from the personal collections of the department’s faculty.
As part of the event, an exhibition showcased a variety of treasured children’s books, from vintage editions to modern favorites. A special highlight was the donation of the iconic novel “The Toreadors from Vasiukivka” by Vsevolod Nestaiko, presented to the university library by Tetiana Leshchenko, Head of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities.
Addressing the future doctors in the audience, she emphasized the importance of encouraging children to read from an early age, noting that Ukrainian children's literature across generations plays a crucial role in shaping well-rounded personalities and fostering values such as kindness, sincerity, compassion, love for one’s homeland, and national identity.
