Ми, тобто вся наша скромна невелика творча команда прес служби ПДМУ, довго розмірковували над тим, як точніше образно передати все те багате на враження розмаїття таких переживань, як то: захоплююча емоційна мить перших кроків в Університеті зовсім юних, багатьох з них майже дітей, першокурсників, відчай перших труднощів у навчанні та всепоглинаюча радість перемоги після їх подолання, поступове дорослішання і зрілість на старших курсах, незабутні самостійні перші медичні маніпуляції і перші пацієнти, з якими під контролем викладачів довелося зустрічатися, модулі, іспити, підсумкові семестрові контрольні, складання Кроків 1 та 2, ОСКІ, перші статті у солідні наукові медичні журнали, словом, безкінечні випробування і без ліку недоспані ночі…а при цьому ще й прагнення нічого не пропустити і додати також й свою ноту до багатоголосся студентського громадського життя, встигнути відкрити краєзнавчі принади красивого багатого на історію стародавнього міста Полтави, переглянути все те цікаве, , що пропонують його театри, студії та музеї…і нарешті ось, він…знаменний день, коли настав час прощатися. Ці щасливо-сумовиті почуття сповнять скарбничку їхньої особистої пам`яті про значущі події у житті. Іншими словами, почнеться ще один новий відлік часу. При розставанні зі своєю Альма Матер вони поки що стоять тільки на березі Професії…У такі часи ще надто живе минуле, аби забути з нього хоч щось. І надто великі надії на майбутнє, аби впевнено вдивлятися у нього.
Ми були поруч разом з ними не один рік. Наші зустрічі з їхніми викладачами, репортажі зі студентського життя, особисте знайомство з багатьма із них, численні фото-і відеозйомки створили впродовж років яскраву палітру радощів і печалей незабутньої студентської юності, проведеної у стінах Полтавського державного медичного університету.
У нашій хроніці пропонуємо фотомандрівку від посвяти у студенти аж до тріумфального завершення урочистим врученням Дипломів. Вона має на меті допомогти нашим випускникам заново пережити найкращі епізоди і тим самим набратися сил аби з більшою упевненістю відштовхнутися від університетського берега, щоб почати самостійне плавання. А викладачам – вкотре додати впевненості, що вони виростили нову плеяду молодих, талановитих та відданих медицині лікарів.

On the Shore of the Profession: Along the Living Trace of the Recent Past and on the Threshold of the Future
We — the small and modest creative team of the PSMU Press Service — spent a long time reflecting on how to most vividly and accurately convey the rich diversity of emotions and experiences that accompany a student’s journey through university life.
From the thrilling emotional moment of taking those very first steps into the University — when most of them were still so young, almost children — to the despair of initial academic challenges and the overwhelming joy of overcoming them. From the gradual maturing and gaining of confidence in the senior years, to unforgettable first independent medical procedures and the first patients they encountered under the supervision of their instructors. Then came the modules, exams, semester assessments, the licensing exams "Krok 1" and "Krok 2", OSCEs, first publications in respected scientific medical journals — in short, countless trials and endless sleepless nights...
And all this while still trying not to miss anything important: adding their own voice to the vibrant chorus of student life, exploring the historical and cultural richness of the ancient city of Poltava, enjoying everything its theaters, studios, and museums have to offer...
And now, finally — the symbolic day has arrived. A day of farewell.
These joyfully bittersweet emotions will forever remain a treasured part of their personal memory, marking some of the most meaningful events in their lives. In other words, a new countdown begins. As they part with their Alma Mater, they stand still — only on the shore of the Profession.
At moments like these, the past still feels too alive to let go of, and the hopes for the future are so great that they give strength to gaze into it with confidence.
We’ve been alongside them for many years. Our interviews with their professors, our reports from student events, personal interactions, numerous photo and video shoots — all these have created a vibrant mosaic of joys and challenges, capturing the unforgettable essence of their student youth spent within the walls of Poltava State Medical University.
In our chronicle, we invite you on a photo journey — from the initiation ceremony as freshmen to the triumphant moment of receiving their Diplomas. This collection aims to help our graduates relive the best moments once more, to draw strength from those memories and confidently push off from the university shore into the waters of independent professional life.
