21 травня 2025 року на кафедрі інфекційних хвороб з епідеміологією відбулася виховна година в рамках Національного тижня безбар’єрності в Україні. Темою заходу стало «Безбар’єрне мислення як основа сучасного суспільства».
Під час зустрічі студенти та лікарі-інтерни з фаху «Інфекційні хвороби» разом із викладачами професоркою Тетяною Коваль, доцентами Наталією Прийменко та Оленою Марченко обговорили поняття безбар’єрності в широкому контексті — як доступність не лише фізичного простору, а й освіти, інформації, можливостей для самореалізації. Зверталася увага на важливість інклюзивного мислення, поваги до різноманіття та ролі молоді у формуванні суспільства рівних можливостей.
Захід мав на меті поглибити розуміння студентами соціальних бар’єрів, із якими стикаються різні групи населення, а також надихнути на активну участь у створенні безпечного, відкритого та доступного середовища в університеті й поза його межами.
Викладачі кафедри наголосили, що безбар’єрність — це не лише державна політика, а стиль мислення кожного з нас. Така ініціатива сприяє формуванню свідомого, відповідального покоління, готового змінювати світ на краще.

Thinking Without Barriers: Inclusive Society Discussed at the Department of Infectious Diseases
On May 21, 2025, the Department of Infectious Diseases with Epidemiology held an educational session as part of Ukraine’s National Accessibility Week. The event focused on the topic: “Barrier-Free Thinking as the Foundation of a Modern Society.”
During the meeting, students and medical interns specializing in infectious diseases, together with faculty members — Professor Tetiana Koval, Associate Professors Nataliia Pryimenko and Olena Marchenko — discussed the concept of accessibility in its broadest sense. They explored it not only as physical access, but also as access to education, information, and opportunities for personal growth.
The discussion emphasized the importance of inclusive thinking, respect for diversity, and the vital role young people play in building a society of equal opportunities.
The event aimed to deepen students’ understanding of the social barriers faced by different population groups and to inspire active participation in creating a safe, open, and accessible environment — both within the university and beyond.
Faculty members stressed that barrier-free living is not just a state policy — it is a mindset that begins with each of us. This initiative fosters the development of a conscious and responsible generation, ready to make the world a better place.
