15 травня 2024 року на кафедрі внутрішньої медицини № 1 ПДМУ відбувся День пам’яті, присвячений фундатору кафедри факультетської терапії УМСА (нині – внутрішньої медицини № 1 ПДМУ) лікарю-терапевту, професору Максиму Дудченку.
У заході взяли участь учні Максима Дудченка, зокрема, і ректор ПДМУ, професор Вячеслав Ждан, який поділився спогадами про перше знайомство з Вчителем у 1977 році в Полтаві, спершу як школяр-пацієнт, потім після закінчення школи і вступу до Інституту (на той час), вже як його студент, учень, а пізніше, як молодий лікар…
«Все те, що я маю на сьогоднішній день як лікар, як людина, і моє особисте ставлення до Справи – це заслуга Максима Андрійовича», - розповів Вячеслав Ждан, а студентів закликав у свою чергу дослухатися до наставників і «набивати шишки» у нелегкому безперервному навчанні лікарській справі.
Ігор Скрипник, проректор ПДМУ з науково-педагогічної роботи та післядипломної освіти, професор кафедри внутрішньої медицини № 1 ПДМУ, на зустрічі згадував про останні спільні наукові напрацювання з Максимом Дудченком і роботу над виданням з історії хвороби, про як завжди виважені та точні рекомендації та поправки.
Ганна Маслова, завідувачка кафедри внутрішньої медицини № 1 ПДМУ , доктор медичних наук, торкнулася біографії лікаря, згадала про його нелегку долю та виклики, з якими він стикався як лікар протягом всього свого життя, про досягнення його як засновника та організатора кафедри, про те, що він був першим у Полтаві, хто заслужено отримав у 2020 році (у 100-літній ювілей) почесну Відзнаку «Орден Святого Пантелеймона».
Максим Потяженко, доктор медичних наук, професор, завідувач кафедри внутрішніх хвороб та медицини невідкладних станів ПДМУ, – також один із улюблених учнів Максима Дудченка, якому Вчитель навіть присвятив свою книгу, говорив про доброту наставника, його готовність лікувати всіх і в будь-який час, про те, що неможливо забути всім, хто знав його особисто, а особливо, як взірця для наслідування.
Ще один поважний учень Максима Дудченка – Юрій Козаков , доктор медичних наук, професор, завідувач кафедри пропедевтики внутрішньої медицини ПДМУ, багато згадував про розбудову кафедри, про нелегкі будні, про дисципліну та контроль підлеглих Максимом Дудченком майже цілодобово, про нього, як ініціатора диспансеризації населення, як людини, яка намагалася вирішити проблему фтору у Полтаві - розробити основи для профілактики лікування населення.
Завершив зустріч онук Максима Дудченка, - Максим Дудченко (молодший), доктор медичних наук, професор кафедри хірургії № 1 ПДМУ, директор КП «2 міська лікарня Полтавської міської ради», якого назвали на честь дідуся. Він сьогодні успішно і гідно продовжує династію лікарів Дудченків і вдячний знаменитому дідусеві за мудрість, особистий приклад і настанови, які мав нагоду засвоїти з раннього дитинства.
Родзинкою зустрічі став блокнот лікаря, який нині зберігається у народному музеї історії ПДМУ, у ньому унікальні записи Максима Дудченка та замітки ще 1973-го року, колеги з цікавістю гортали записник і навіть знаходили у ньому свої прізвища.
Після годинного спілкування учасники вирушили до меморіальної дошки Максиму Дудченку, що в аудиторії № 3 Полтавської обласної клінічної лікарні ім. М. В. Скліфософського, щоб покласти квіти і зафіксувати цей день на фото.
Незабаром у Полтаві з’явиться вулиця імені Максима Дудченка, за це проголосували полтавці. «Рішення вже прийнято і не підлягає оскарженню», – повідомив принагідно радісну новину усім присутнім голова Ради ветеранів ПДМУ, майор запасу Віктор Лебедєв.
Долучились до заходу здобувачі вищої освіти 4-го курсу кафедри внутрішньої медицини № 1 ПДМУ, лікарі-інтерни з кафедри внутрішніх хвороб, усі колеги.
Принагідно, у цьому році виповнюється 50 років кафедрі, фундатором якої став легендарний професор ПДМУ Максим Дудченко. Йому ж самому виповнилося б цьогоріч 105 років…
He treated the patient, not the disease: Memorial Day for Maksym Dudchenko
On May 15, 2024, the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 of PSMU hosted a Memorial Day dedicated to the founder of the Department of Faculty Therapy of the UMSA (now Internal Medicine No. 1 of PSMU), physician, professor Maksym Dudchenko.
The event was attended by Maksym Dudchenko's students, including PSMU Rector, Professor Viacheslav Zhdan, who shared his memories of the first meeting with the Teacher in 1977 in Poltava, first as a schoolboy patient, then after graduation and entering the Institute (at that time), as his student, learner, and later as a young doctor
“Everything that I have today as a doctor, as a person, and my personal attitude to the Activity is the merit of Maksym Andriyovych,” said Viacheslav Zhdan, and urged the students to listen to their mentors and “fill in the blanks” in the difficult continuous training in medicine.
At the meeting, Prof. Ihor Skrypnyk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Postgraduate Education at PSMU, Professor of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 of PSMU, recalled the latest joint scientific developments with Maksym Dudchenko and the work on the medical history publication, and the always balanced and accurate recommendations and amendments.
Hanna Maslova, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 of PSMU, DMSc, touched upon the doctor's biography, recalled his difficult fate and challenges he faced as a doctor throughout his life, his achievements as the founder and organizer of the department, and the fact that he was the first in Poltava to deservedly receive the honorary Order of St. Panteleimon in 2020 (on his 100th birthday).
Prof, Maksym Potiazhenko, DMSc, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine at PSMU, is also one of Maksym Dudchenko's favorite students, to whom the Teacher even dedicated his book, spoke about the kindness of the mentor, his willingness to treat everyone at any time, and the fact that it is impossible to forget him for everyone who knew him personally, especially as a role model.
Another respected student of Maksym Dudchenko, Prof. Yurii Kozakov, DMSc, Head of the Department of Propedeutics of Internal Medicine at PSMU, recalled a lot about the development of the department, about the difficult everyday life, about the discipline and control of his subordinates by Maksym Dudchenko almost around the clock, about him as the initiator of the population health check-ups, as a person who tried to solve the fluoride problem in Poltava - to develop the basis for preventive treatment of the population.
The meeting was concluded by Pof, Maksym Dudchenko's grandson, Maksym Dudchenko (Junior), DMSc, Professor at the Department of Surgery No. 1 of PSMU, Director of the Municipal Enterprise “2nd City Hospital of Poltava City Council”, which was named after his grandfather. Today, he successfully and worthily continues the Dudchenko dynasty of doctors and is grateful to his famous grandfather for the wisdom, personal example and guidance he had the opportunity to learn from early childhood.
The highlight of the meeting was the doctor's notebook, which is now stored in the National Museum of PSMU History, with unique notes by Maksym Dudchenko dating back to 1973.
After an hour of communication, the participants went to the memorial plaque to Maksym Dudchenko in the room No. 3 of M. V. Sklifosofsky Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital to lay flowers and take photos of the day.
Soon, Poltava will have a street named after Maksym Dudchenko, as voted by Poltava residents. “The decision has already been made and is not subject to appeal,” Viktor Lebedev, Chairman of the PSMU Veterans Council, Res. Major, told the audience the good news.
The event was attended by the 4-year students of the Department of Internal Medicine No. 1 of PSMU, interns from the Department of Internal Medicine, and all colleagues.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Department, which was founded by the legendary PSMU professor Maksym Dudchenko. He would have turned 105 this year...
