Питання комунікації у сучасному акушерстві, де все відбувається виключно за згодою пацієнтки, а іноді і за згодою родини, зобов’язують викладача та студента знаходити індивідуальний підхід до кожної пацієнтки. Бо ж через діалог студент навчається розпізнавати симптоми, уточнювати скарги, виявляти приховані проблеми.
Вміння слухати, проявляти повагу й делікатно вести розмову — це фундамент лікарської етики. Такі якості формуються саме у живому спілкуванні з пацієнтами.
Здобувачі вищої освіти 3-ї групи 6-ого курсу медичного факультету №1, разом із доцентом кафедри Віталієм Мартиненком здійснили повний супровід пацієнки від відділення патології вагітності, (де оволоділи практичними навичками «зовнішнє акушерське обстеження» та «вислуховування серцебиття плоду» безпосередньо на вагітній), були присутніми на пологах, які були партнерськими з татом військовим, що отримав відпустку для такої важливої події в родині, та проводили курацію породіллі з новонародженим у післяпологовому відділенні.
Після успішного завершення пологів студенти привітали новонародженого подарунком, чим неабияк розчулили маму, яка була вдячна майбутнім лікарям.

Medical ethics in action: PSMU students gained valuable experience in obstetric practice
Communication plays a key role in modern obstetrics, where everything is done strictly with the patient’s consent, and at times with the consent of the family. This places a special responsibility on both educators and students to find an individual approach to each patient. Through meaningful dialogue, students learn to recognize symptoms, clarify complaints, and detect underlying issues.
The ability to listen, show respect, and conduct conversations with delicacy forms the core of medical ethics — qualities that are best developed through real-life interactions with patients.
Future physicians from Group 3 of the 6th year of study, Medical Faculty No. 1, accompanied by Associate Professor Vitalii Martynenko of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, provided comprehensive support to a patient throughout all stages of care. Their journey included:
Gaining hands-on experience in external obstetric examinations and fetal heartbeat monitoring in the pregnancy pathology department;
Being present at a childbirth, which was especially touching as it involved a military partner granted leave for this important family event;
Assisting with the postpartum care of both the mother and newborn in the maternity ward.
After the successful delivery, the students gifted the newborn a present, deeply moving the mother, who expressed sincere gratitude to the future doctors for their attentiveness and warmth.
