At the end of September 2017, Poltava celebrated the feast of the Goddess Durga –Durga Puja, honored by all Hindus.
Students of the Faculty of Foreign Students Training at the HSEE of Ukraine "Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy", as well as the staff of the Dean's office actively participated in the national celebration, organized by the representatives of the Indian community.
With interest and pleasure all present listened to the history of the feast and enjoyed the demonstration of the Indian culture.
Durga Puja marks the victory of Durga over Mahishasura.
The main purpose of the festival is to honor and worship the Goddess, in its aspect of Shakti or the Power, bringing the wealth and well-being, prosperity, knowledge, both laical and spiritual, and other blessings to people.
Thus, the Goddess Durga destroys all kinds of evil symbolized by the sounds of [du], [r] and [ga].
