A GOGOL TOUR!
On September 16, the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities, together with the Dean`s office of the Faculty of Foreign Students Training, organized an unforgettable tour of Poltava Region entitled "A Gogol Tour" for foreign students.
During this trip the students and teachers visited the palace and the Mykolaivska of the Kochubei family, the museum-farmstead of M.V. Gogol in Dykanka. The excursion and especially the museum were very interesting, and the visitors left a record the guest book: "... Gogol's creativity is studied by students of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, and now we visited his homeland to worship the fertile land that gave us this writer ..." – these are a few words about those unforgettable impressions.
The trip about Poltava region continued in the village Velyki Sorochintsy and did not miss the colorful manor house, where visitors enjoyed real Ukrainian borsch with fragrant pancakes, dumplings with meat and potatoes. Then the students visited the resort of Myrgorod, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, visited the Velyka Bagachka and walked through the cozy and picturesque streets of those glorious places.
And at the end of the trip, the students spend some time on the shore of the picturesque river Psyol.
