On 5-6 October 2017, I Podolsk Interregional Conference with International Participation "Modern Methods of Diagnosis, Emergency Care, Intensive Care and Anesthetic Provision of Severe Patients" dedicated to the establishment of a profile department at the university was held at the Vinnytsya National Medical University.
The conference was opened by V.M. Frost, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Rector of the Vynnytsa National Medical University, academician, Hero of Ukraine.
The conference reviewed the interdisciplinary aspects of patients` treatment in critical conditions, involving scientists and practitioners of anesthesiology and intensive care, emergency medicine, surgery, traumatology, obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics. Participants from Ukraine, Belarus, Italy not only reported the results of their scientific research and practical observations, but also held workshops and practical trainings.
Poltava Region was represented by D.A. Shkurupii, Doctor of Medical Sciences, head of the separate branch of the Association of Anesthesiologists of Ukraine in Poltava region, Associate Professor of the Department of Anesthesiology with Intensive Therapy of the HSEEU "Ukrainian Medical Dentistry Academy" and post-graduate student of this department D.A. Kholod.
D.A. Kholod presented a report in the scientific forum of such importance for the first time. The topic of the report was "Gastrointestinal insufficiency in neonatal intensive care: mechanisms and consequences", which caused a lively interest both in the presidium and in the conference participants. The Department of Anesthesiology with Intensive Therapy congratulates the young scientist on this event!
