On September 14-16, 2017, the annual Congress of Anesthesiologists of Ukraine took place in Kyiv, where a wide range of scientific and practical issues on the state and prospects of the development of anesthesiology and intensive care in Ukraine was discussed.
НThe Minister of Health of Ukraine U. Suprun and the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Academician V.I. Tsimbalyuk were present at the opening ceremony of the Congress. Academician V.I. Tsimbalyuk outlined the ways of reforming the health care system and medical science in Ukraine.
Reports of leading specialists from Ukraine, Great Britain, France, Poland, Belarus were presented in thematic sessions, including the report of the employee of the department of anesthesiology with intensive therapy of the HSEE of Ukraine "Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy" d.med.sc. D.A. Shkurupiy and postgraduate student D.A. Kholoda "Gastrointestinal insufficiency as a component of the current course of critical conditions in newborns." The report was of great interest to the audience, as it raised the problem of the peculiarity of the course of critical states in the conditions of modern technologies of intensive care of newborns, and the study of this problem is an exclusive scientific direction, which is developed by the staff of the Department.
A meeting of the Board of the Association of Anesthesiologists of Ukraine took place within the framework of the Congress. At the meeting, the decision was made to streamline the organization of specialized scientific forums, initiate changes to the state forms of medical documentation of the doctor-anesthesiologist, approval of recommendations for the implementation of protocols for intensive therapy of septic shock in children and perioperative anesthesia. An active discussion about the expediency of the specialty "Children's Anesthesiology" as a separate direction for the training of doctors and general anesthesiologists was also launched.
Along with the Congress, the European School of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care was held under the auspices of the European Association of Anesthesiologists. The first training cycle "Breathing and Chest" included not only lectures of domestic and foreign specialists, but also practical training in small groups. Students of the Department of Anesthesiology with Intensive Therapy of the HSEE of Ukraine "Ukrainian Medical Stomatological Academy" O.Yu. Bodulev and P.S. Teriv.
