Foreign students greet children with motor disorders with New Year's holidays
New Year’s Day and Christmas celebration is the most joyful time. Starting from December, we are all waiting for miracles. We are planning to travel, prepare gifts for relatives and friends.
Every nation has its own tradition of celebrating the New Year’s Day. And it is always interesting to know, for example, about the Italian Fairy Befanu, Finnish Joulupukkì or Belgian Sìnterklaasa, and, of course, Santa Claus. However, we also have our own interesting traditions that are derived from the ancient times, and one of them is the celebration of Saint Nicholas Day (the defender of all who need help).
On the eve of this holiday the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Foreign Students Training and the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Humanities HSEE of Ukraine «UMSA» together with international students from the far- and near-abroad countries visited the Rehabilitation Center for Children with Organic Lesions of the Nervous System at Poltava Regional Clinical Hospital, which provides rehabilitation services for children with motor impairments: cerebral palsy and birth trauma injuries. Children with the aftermaths of neuroinfections and psycholingual retardation also receive treatment there.
Little patients and their moms were very pleased to welcome greetings and gifts from foreign students.
