The summer has passed quickly. Time for rest, new impressions, emotions... For volunteer students, of the "Unity" society it was a time of activity and gaining new experience. On June 25, volunteers helped organize and conduct a concert for the Youth Day at the Vorskla stadium.
During the summer volunteers Anastasia Skryak, Elizaveta Semenova, Cyril Shumik, Anastasia Gusak, Sofia Ilyinskaya visited schoolchildren of the Center for Children`s Social and Psychological Rehabilitation and conducted interesting cognitive activities aimed at preparing children who were left without parental care for independent living and labor, forming the knowledge and skills that promote social adaptation, increase the level of personal development.
The leader of the Volunteer unit Julia Zayats took part in the training under the Youth Worker Program, which was held with the support of the United Nations Development Program of Ukraine and in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Ukraine and the State Institute of Family and Youth Policy.
The "Platform for Success" project, prepared by Julia Zayats, won the competition "First Step to Success - 2017" (Kharkiv) in the eastern region. The purpose of the program is to support young women and girls who are ready to help young people in the development of their communities and Ukraine as a whole. During a three-day visit to Kharkiv, winners of the competition gathered for meetings and communication with successful women: the place of women in the modern world; various forms of training on women's leadership; writing and realization of social projects; development of useful skills for success, a lot of new and interesting acquaintances, excursions, etc.
Volunteer Mykhaylo Khariv was a student at the Summer School of Leadership (Lviv). The goal of the 12-day program was to form a team of young leaders through training, leadership development, seminars, discussions and joint activities. Mikhail visited educational seminars on the importance of forming values in society, the identity of a Ukrainian, the challenges facing modern youth, community development and youth movements, and so on. Training sessions on effective team work, communication skills, organization planning skills, public speaking art, as well as meetings with experts in various social spheres were of great interest.
Volunteers Kirill Shumik, Oleksandra Lobas and Mikhail Hariv took part in the regional project "Workshop of the responsible Ukrainian". For 14 days in the camp "Dzherelo" of the Novosanzhar district, the youth learned to communicate effectively, to establish communication, to build a team, to study their inner world, through the peculiarities of human psychotypes, to determine the methods of increasing stress resistance, to discuss the nuances of government activities, to give the written form to ideas and dreams, to learn about the possibilities of media support for social projects.
The time spent by Sofia Ilyinskaya in the educational complex "Erudit" (Kremenchuk) was unforgettable.
Mykhailo Hariv took part in the interregional youth forum "Youth, Peace and Security" (Kremenchuk), whose main goal is to enable young people to actively participate in the life of their country and to change it for the better by reforming the society around them and the outlook within each citizen.
